The boy who prepared my coffee

“A meaningful life is not being rich, being popular, being highly educated or being perfect…It is about being real, being humble, being able to share ourselves and touch the lives of others. It is only then that we could have a full, happy and contended life”

I have learnt.
I have been taught lessons that  they can’t ever be learnt in books.
I have travelled and I have watched, observed and seen.
 I have witnessed beauty with the shape of endless smiles and deep humbleness that will not allow me to go back to life as I knew it.
This is the beauty of the journey; the things you see, the moments you experience, the people you meet, the lives you observe, the walks you take, the words you hear, the smiles you enjoy, the kindness you experience.
 It brings tears to my eyes to know that we live in a world where we give value to things that have none, in a world that despises people who have less, in a world where we accumulate to then forget about what we possess, where money can buy you a good name but where there is never enough money to give dignity to others that need it more than you need your bloody name.

And it also brings tears to my eyes to know that we live in a world where there are people that can walk on plastic bottles instead of shoes and still face the day with a smile looking proudly ahead, where children run and play naked and build toys from wood and enjoy, laugh and live the moment as if there is not a tomorrow as today is all they have, with the capacity of bringing the sun to your cloudy world, warmth to your loneliness and richness to your empty existence of opulence.

 There are too many beautiful people out there that you must meet. Do not protect yourself from reality by remaining where you are.

Let you mind wander to places and then take your body with you, travel with your soul and search for beauty for what beauty is where a smile is offered, a word of encouragement is given, generosity is offered.

Do not worry to take from them because you believe they have nothing, as what they have is actually bigger that you will ever understand and you won’t be able to buy it.

Leave your first world mentality behind, free yourself from things your learnt and face them with an empty mind and a rich spirit; you will learn wonderful valuable lessons that will make you a better human being because only when you have been touched by a humble soul, you can truly understand that your possessions meant nothing if that's all you own.

Let the boy prepare your coffee and thank him for that coffee because chances are that he is not only offering you a drink but a moment in your life like no other.

Live the moment, be grateful for who you are, for what you have but remain humble and don’t ever forget this;
 “Someone else is happy with less that what you have”
