Eighteen days backpacking in Myanmar; detailed expenses and itinerary

The moment I knew I wanted to visit Myanmar and started doing research on the web, I realised that the more I read about peoples experiences the more confused I was becoming. If you, like me, do reach the internet to help you plan trips and design possible itineraries, you know what I’m talking about here!

There seems to be out there a lot of confusing information about Myanmar, especially regarding the budget (very expensive versus not expensive at all) and some other “hot topics” like money/currency, etc…

Pai; I have found love in Thailand

It is quite unusual to find any negative comments about Pai in the web, I have never actually seen them. That fact deserves that if anything, you spend some seconds marvelling about what it is about a place like that, which has not gain any detractors through the years and quite just the opposite, has made people from all over the world fall in love with it.
I kept ignoring Pai for years even though I was close enough in Chiang Mai in my previous occasions here (lack of time, tight budget, the twisty road…).

“I spent ten years as a Buddhist Monk but today I am a normal man”. Meet Choi, a brave young man with a strong desire.

I feel a strong responsibility writing this post. I am scared to a certain extent that I will not make justice to Choi’s words or even worse, that my words may lack important affirmations and thoughts expressed by him through our conversation.

I am certain, though, that I do also have the responsibility to share this very important awakening moment with you, I aim to transmit you a tiny portion of thousand feelings that passed through my body and soul while talking to this very wise young man.

Making a decision; staying in Krabi, Ton Sai or Rai Leh?

Long before I could cross to Thailand (I was then in Malaysia volunteering) I was already dreaming with being back in Thailand. There is something in the air that creates certain addiction to all the things Thai.

My memory brought back moments of intense happiness experienced in Thailand; turquoise waters, little river villages and ruins full of history. Of course, as we all know, the years benefit that memories come back to us polished minus any dramas or challenges.

A piece of advice from..."Chiang Mai"

Excuse me all but the video gets cut right at the end before I can say goodbye, as apparently I ran out of memory on my I phone....Let me just add here that I was going to finish the video with; Stay happy and see you all again from Myanmar!. There.

I hope you like it and I don't talk to much nonsense :)
